Counselling & Training

Rev. Strauss Joubert provides counceling and guidance to the students and youth of the community, while GF4GF's program provides invaluable training for personal and spiritual growth as well as cultivating agricultural skills.

Sunday School

The GF4GF students and members of the congregation attend Sunday School training to be better equiped to provide Sunday School to the little ones of the All Saints United Church congregation.

Sport

The GF4GF students and kids from the community of all ages come together on Wednesdays to enjoy a game of football, laughter, spiritual teaching and refreshments.

What is GF4GF?

Good Foundations For Good Fruits (GF4GF) is a non-profit youth oriented organization that was founded in 2018 by Julius & kirna Hellmuth with the vision to cultivate young leaders to positively impact rural-agricultural communities.

GF4GF's mission is to lay good foundations in the youth to produce good fruit.

Young Leaders who enroll in GF4GF's GoodYear Program learn critical life skills as well as get practical exposure to the myriad of opportunities within the agricultural sector. There is a strong focus on fostering entepreneurial skills, and above all else, to become rooted in God and develop impeccable moral values.

GF4GF aims to help students dicocver their worth and their unique skills. This allows them to grow confident within themselves and to utilize their gifts to become contibuting members of society.

Growing up I was focused and determined, until I lost someone close to my heart. I started losing my purpose in life. I didn’t believe that any good could come from me. I was seeking answers in the wrong places. My life had no direction. But then, I heard that I had been accepted to the GoodYear programme. God had a divine appointment. I found myself landed in the right place. I became emotionally free, physically free and spiritually free. I realised I am worthy in God’s sight. I was able to dream again. God was not done with me yet. I have tasted and seen the goodness of the Lord in my GoodYear.

I write this because I have a story to testify. I am so grateful for GF4GF Centre. If it was not for the Centre I don’t know where I would be. To learn about myself was the greatest blessing ever. Learning about God and to share the good news with people around me was amazing. To fellowship with people that I never thought I would meet in life. GF4GF was an opportunity for me to be me. This was a year of transformation and self-development. This year I could be a blessing to others and they to me. Through everything we have done this year, I have learned that our life is like a book and we are the authors. We choose who we want to become in life. GF4GF made my mind open to see the world in a different light. It filled my head with lots of knowledge and now I am physically, mentally and spiritual strong. My relational and social skills have also improved a lot. To apply for this year was one of the best choices that I could have made. I believe God was directing me here.

I am truly blessed to have been given an opportunity to discover myself, my purpose and my identity in Christ. GF4GF helped me to grow in so many ways, but my main take away from this year is to stay rooted in Christ to trust him with all I have. GF4GF also helped me to: think before I act, to apologise and to see things beyond my culture. The lessons I have learnt this year, I will carry with me forever, and for that I am grateful. This was truly a GOOD year.

GoodYear 2023 has personally been such a blessing for me. The most important thing this year for me was restoring my relationship with God. A verse that I take away with me this year is Jeremiah 29: 11: ‘’I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.’’ During this year I have learned a lot about myself and also about other people. I have discovered my toxic traits, my flaws, things that I did not want to expose, things I didn’t want anyone to know, I embraced it all. It was more like a year of self-discovery, and a year of self-improvement. Not the best year but a year full of lessons, some painful ones, but all worth remembering.

This is the year I got to know who I am. Before I came here it was not easy to speak to a large group of people, but now I can continue to speak even though I might be nervous whilst doing a presentation. Ever since I have been here I have seen myself as an adult, because before I came to GF4GF it was not easy for me to accept that I am far away from my family. But, then I saw myself facing challenges in a mature way. I have been trained to think and act like an adult. I strongly believe that when I go out there I will be a better leader with good values that can make a difference in my community. One thing that I learnt was, how important it is to build relationships with people. As Paul warns us in the Bible that we must surround ourselves with people of good character. I am so grateful that I heard about this programme, because I can see that I have grown so much. If it were not for GF4GF, I don’t know where I would be now.
